2013: 'I never said I'd leave this city' - That Green Gentleman

***

What's a better way to start a year with than listening to the old Panic! at the Disco? Why spending it in front of your computer, of course!

There's something magical about 2013. Probably because it's become a true symbol of rebirth with all the apocalypse and what not last year~ it still feels strange to say that~. I, being a great lover of allegories, took this as a challenge to renew myself and my blog, the extension of thyself.

Ever since I've packed up from my own blog, I devoted all my free (and not so free because I worked on it during exam days) time into tweaking this blushing blog right here. Looking at it now makes me feel a tad bit proud. I'm no graphic designer. For my header and button, I only had MS Powerpoint and  this beautiful soul of a blog at my disposal. Though I'm not saying it's masterpiece, I think it came out great!

In addition to the work I've put in the layout designs, I've thought long and hard about what to post. After some mind-numbing deliberations, I've decided on using these features on my blog:

  • Book Reviews. I can't do without them!
  • Manga Mondays. A meme hosted by Alison Can Read.

  • Otaku Breakout. An original meme showcasing my anime/video-gaming addictions and recommendations.
  • Wayward Writings. A writing feature which is guaranteed to be infrequent.
  • Project eXhibit. An original feature wherein I'll shamelessly present my amateur sketches. As consistent as Wayward Writing... which is to say its frequency is totally unpredictable.
Aside from those, I will sometimes write about what's happening with my life and pick up another meme here or there.

I'm incredibly excited for this year and all the changes it will bring! But most of all, I look forward to taking on this year together with you, dear reader! After all...

How about you? What are you most excited about this year? Tell me in the comments!

Love,

  1. I'll look forward to anime recs. I haven't kept up with anime in years.

Thank you so much for dropping by! I read and appreciate all well-thought-out comments/messages so feel free to leave one. And do not forget to leave a link back to your blog so I can return the favor.

Also, this is now an award-free blog. Still, thank you for thinking of me. You're awesome!

Have a blessed day!
